Frequently Asked Questions
To determine the right skip bin type, consider the nature of your waste. General waste bins handle mixed household or business refuse, recycling bins are for recyclable materials, green waste bins manage garden debris, concrete waste bins are for heavy construction materials, clean fill bins are for uncontaminated soil, and construction waste bins are ideal for renovation and demolition debris.
The appropriate bin size depends on the volume of waste you need to dispose of. For guidance, our team can help assess your requirements based on the type and amount of waste. Common sizes include 2, 4, 6, and 9 cubic meters.
Hazardous materials, such as chemicals, paints, asbestos, and certain electronics, are not permitted in skip bins. Additionally, food waste, tires, and large quantities of liquids should be excluded. Please consult our guidelines for a complete list of prohibited items.
If you need extra time, simply contact us to arrange an extended hire period. We’ll accommodate your request to ensure you have ample time to complete your project.
To ensure safe transportation and compliance with regulations, please fill the skip bin only up to the top edge. Overfilling can result in additional charges or delays.
We recommend giving at least 24 to 48 hours’ notice to ensure availability and timely delivery. For urgent requests, please contact us directly, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Many of our skip bins feature a rear door for convenient loading of waste. If you need a bin with a door, please specify this requirement when placing your order.
Once collected, your waste is transported to a licensed facility where it is sorted and processed. We prioritize recycling and environmentally responsible disposal methods to minimize the impact on landfills.
We take great care to prevent damage to your property. Our team will use protective measures and equipment to avoid any harm to your driveway or lawn. If you have specific concerns, please let us know in advance.
Our skip bins are designed to be versatile and can typically access most driveways. However, if you have a narrow or restricted access area, please inform us beforehand so we can plan accordingly.
A permit is often required for placing a skip bin on public land, such as a nature strip or street. We can assist with permit arrangements or provide guidance on how to obtain one from your local council.
